Hi, I’m Tanea
My love for horror started way back in the ‘90s, when I’d beg my mom to take me to the local video store just so I could stare at the creepy VHS covers in the horror section. I was way too young, but completely hooked. I grew up watching Are You Afraid of the Dark? on Nickelodeon, flying through Goosebumps books after school, and sneaking in scary movies whenever I could. The scarier, the better.
That childhood obsession turned into a lifelong love for the genre. I’ve always been drawn to the feeling of being just a little bit scared, whether it’s from a slow burn psychological thriller, a stylish supernatural mystery, or a good old-fashioned slasher. I started The Horror Guide to create a space where I could talk about all of it, including movies, shows, trailers, reviews, listicles, and anything horror fans like me are always searching for.
I write for the fans who count down to Halloween each year, who rewatch their favorite horror movies every October (or year-round), and who get just as excited about an indie horror film as they do a big-budget popcorn flick. Whether you’re looking for something new to watch or just love talking horror, you’re in the right place.
When I’m not writing for the blog, I’m usually doing what I’ve always done: watching a movie, binge-watching a show, or reading. I still love the hunt for a good scare, and I’ll never stop adding to my watchlist.
